This scholarship fund was established in the
memory of Mark Gallagher, a young Island resident who dreamed
of serving his community as a police officer.
The scholarship is awarded each year to a
student who wishes to pursue a career in law enforcement,
criminal justice, or another type of service to the Mackinac
Island community.
