Thanks to all who supported the 2004 MICF fundraiser, Turtles Around Town.

Funds > Healthy Youth and Seniors Fund

Island Children SkiingCreated with a portion of the proceeds from the National Tobacco Settlement, this fund will support initiatives to benefit seniors and youth on Mackinac. The Mackinac Island Community Foundation is one of 66 certified community foundations, covering the state, to receive an allocation through the Council of Michigan Foundations from the State of Michigan's share of the national tobacco settlement.

Mackinac Island, and every other participating community foundation, has formed a local advisory committee to make decisions on the projects to be supported by the funds. Included in the committee are representatives from MICF’s Youth Advisory Committee.
