Funds > Marlee Brown Community Arts Fund

Marlee Brown PaintingThis fund was created by renowned Michigan artist and Island resident Marlee Brown Musser. It supports all areas of the arts including visual, musical, and performing arts and primary importance will be given to programs aimed at young people.

"I am so pleased to establish this fund with the hope that it will enrich the Mackinac Island community. My art has been my life and has given me so much that I would like to share that, especially with children. Art is a wonderful way to boost children's self-confidence, a way for them to produce something that others appreciate. By establishing this fund through the Mackinac Island Community Foundation, I can share something with the Island right now, plus, know that the community will be enriched through the arts for generations to come."
