Funds > The Pompa Fund for Preservation of Historic Structures

Frank and Carole Pompa may call southeastern Michigan their home, but their hearts are on Mackinac Island. Frank is a builder who has been visiting the Island since his first trip here as a scout. His wife Carole, a human resources director originally from West Virginia, shares his feelings for Mackinac. They spent their honeymoon on the Island."Although we have no ancestral connections to Mackinac, it is a place we both feel a deep love and admiration for." says Carole.

The Pompa Fund for Preservation of Historic Structures was established in recognition of their love of Mackinac Island, its history and architecture, and its unique value in their lives and the lives of all Michigan residents. Grants from the fund will support restoration and long term preservation of historic structures on Mackinac.
