Funds > Rev. John M. and Florence L. Shufelt Rainy Day Fund

Created by a gift by Jeanie and John Shufelt in 1997, with an endowed version created in 2006, the Rainy Day Fund helps people of the Island face unexpected emergencies, natural disasters and serious illness. Currently, the Medical Center, School, and three churches administer emergency assistance funds for short term needs on Mackinac Island. Rain Day Fund grants have supported these funds.
