Turtles Around town printed and distributed
a walking tour guide to the turtles indicating the
locations of the turtles on Mackinac this summer.
The guide included information about sponsors
and artists associated with each work of art.
Turtles also feature a plaque naming the sponsor
and artist.

The sponsorship
cost was $1000. Sponsorship money was payable
to the Mackinac Island Community Foundation and will
help underwrite the cost of the turtles. Only twenty-four
turtles were available for sponsorship and those
were awarded on a "first-come, first-serve" basis.
Sponsors were given the opportunity
to select the design of their choice from the collection
of proposals.
